About YMCA Toliara
YMCA Toliara, the branch representing the region of Atsimo Andrefana , has been actively contributing to youth empowerment and community development since its establishment on February 5, 1995. As part of the global YMCA movement, it provides a welcoming space for young people to engage in leadership development, social initiatives, and capacity-building activities.
Currently, YMCA Toliara has a dynamic membership of 60 individuals, consisting of approximately 42% women and 58% men. Through its various programs, the branch continues to inspire and equip young people with the skills and values necessary to create positive change in their communities.
2025 Impact So Far!
YMCA Toliara is deeply committed to protecting the environment. Through their dynamic youth-led initiatives, they’ve taken bold steps this year to restore biodiversity and fight climate change in the region of Tulear.
