The concept of Y-SIENS
For many young people, YMCA Madagascar has been a place to learn, grow, develop leadership skills, build friendships, serve their communities, and discover new opportunities. Today, many of those young people have moved forward in life. They are now professionals, entrepreneurs, development practitioners, community leaders, parents, and changemakers.
Y-SIENS was created to reconnect them.
Y-SIENS is the network of former YMCA Madagascar members, youth leaders, volunteers, and participants. It creates a bridge between generations so that the experience, skills, networks, and commitment of former YMCA youth can continue to inspire and support today’s young people.

Meet former YMCA friends, build new professional connections, strengthen your network, and reconnect with the YMCA community through gatherings, networking events, cultural evenings, panels, and other activities.
Give back through mentoring, coaching, masterclasses, professional guidance, or by sharing your personal and professional experience with younger YMCA members.

Y-SIENS reconnects former YMCA members and creates opportunities for them to stay involved in the movement. It is designed as a bridge between generations, allowing former members to reconnect, share their experiences, mentor young people, and contribute to supporting the next generation.
There are many ways to participate. You can join alumni gatherings, become a mentor or coach, share your professional experience, facilitate a masterclass, connect young people to opportunities, or contribute to solidarity initiatives. Everyone can participate according to their availability and possibilities.
