UNSCR 2250
The UNSCR 2250 (United Nations Security Council Resolutions) was adopted in December 2015 by the United Nations Security Council. The resolution recognizes that “young people play an important and positive role in the maintenance and promotion of international peace and security”. It urges the UN Member States to give youth a greater voice in decision-making at the local, national, regional and international levels and to consider setting up mechanisms that would enable young people to participate meaningfully in peace processes.
It identifies five key pillars for action:
- Participation
- Protection
- Prevention
- Partnerships
- Disengagement and Reintegration
« Thanks to YWCA-YMCA of Sweden, we could develop theoretical and practical knowledge of interviewing and video production and take part in an international context. Thank you, Thank you!!! »
