A CV is more than just a document: it reflects your skills, represents who you are, and, in many ways, sells your potential.
Driven by its mission to keep young people at the heart of its work, YMCA organized a training session on Wednesday, September 11, at the YPS Ankerana, dedicated to young people looking for a job or an internship. The focus of the day was on building professional and impactful CVs.
The event brought together a wide range of participants: students in agronomy, law, multimedia communication, economics, and many other fields, just another way to expand their network… Some were actively seeking opportunities, while others were simply curious and eager to gain a better understanding of the professional world.
The aim of the session? To equip young people with the right insights before applying, and to provide them with practical tools to craft strong applications and increase their chances of success.
Throughout the session, participants explored key takeaways, such as:
Always tailor your CV: one job = one CV. Highlight only what truly matters for the role you are targeting.
Develop self-assessment skills: before applying, ask yourself, “Am I really fit for this position?” to approach applications with confidence and clarity.
Understand the ATS (Applicant Tracking System), a tool widely used by companies, especially large ones, to screen candidates.
Make the most of CV Crea, a platform that provides user-friendly templates and premium options to design simple, clear, and attractive CVs.
The community of young people who are part of the Employment Hub continues to grow. Following this session, participants now have access to ongoing support, whether in groups or individually, to move forward in their professional journey.
With initiatives like this, YMCA reaffirms its commitment to empowering young people with the tools and knowledge they need to shape their future.
