Building a Fairer Future for Madagascar’s Youth
Empowering young people through justice, rehabilitation, and reintegration. Together, we create opportunities for a safer and more inclusive society.
About Youth Justice
The Youth Justice Project aims to strengthen Madagascar’s juvenile justice system through preventive and restorative approaches. Funded by the Swedish Mission Council (SMC/SIDA) in partnership with YMCA KFUK/KFUM Sweden, it works to reduce youth involvement in crime while promoting rehabilitation and reintegration.
Through education, mentorship, and community engagement, the project equips young people with the skills and resilience needed to make positive life choices. It ensures fair treatment for those in conflict with the law and supports their reintegration into society.
By collaborating with local authorities and civil society, the initiative advocates for policy reforms and sustainable solutions. It focuses on prevention, improving prison conditions, and helping former juvenile offenders reintegrate, emphasizing justice as a means of restoration and empowerment.
