On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, fifty young people were trained in Kuroiler poultry farming techniques at YMCA Carion, in collaboration with the LFL Madagascar Group.
More than just technical training, this initiative contributes to a high-impact strategy aimed at strengthening young people’s long-term economic resilience. In a context where job opportunities remain limited, self-employment offers a practical and accessible alternative. Poultry farming, in particular, can generate income quickly, provided the basics are well understood.
This is where the training made a real difference. Participants learned that success in this sector requires more than motivation; it depends on a strong technical foundation.
Throughout the day, they gained essential, practical knowledge to help them get started, including:
- understanding the poultry production value chain
- planning costs and forecasting revenue
- identifying market opportunities
These skills provide concrete tools to launch income-generating activities, reduce risks, and increase the chances of success.
The session concluded with the awarding of certificates, marking the beginning of an entrepreneurial journey for these young people, now better equipped to take action.
