With 280 dedicated volunteers across the region, we are building a stronger, more engaged community where young people can learn, grow, and lead.

From organizing impactful programs to supporting youth development, our volunteers bring their passion, energy, and commitment to every initiative. Their efforts empower communities, create opportunities, and drive meaningful change.

Since the beginning of my journey at YMCA Madagascar, it has changed me a lot from being introvert to extrovert, it has also changed the way I communicate to other people and also from being shy to a communicative person. And the YMCA has helped me to improve my public speaking, and also my management skills in terms of managing clubs, communicating, and leadership.

Thanks to the YMCA leadership training, I’m finally beginning to understand what leadership truly means and how to manage a club effectively. I was already a board member, but leadership still felt vague to me. Before, when I had to write documents like a memo or a Terms of Reference, I had no idea how to do it and often had to ask someone for help, or avoided it altogether. Now, I feel confident doing it on my own.

Joining our volunteer team is simple! Fill out the application form, choose the branch you want to join, and pay the 15,000 MGA registration fee at the selected branch. Receive your badge and pick the activities that interest you, attend an orientation session. Click here to get started!
