On May 2–3, 2026, 160 young people from Moramanga strengthened their skills through a training program focused on entrepreneurship, business creation, and digital work, organized in collaboration with the Association d’Entraide Madagascar and the University of FJKM Ravelojaona.
More than just a training session, this initiative highlighted the entrepreneurial potential already existing among the youth of the region. Several participants shared their ongoing projects and micro-businesses, demonstrating that a strong pool of local economic initiatives already exists, but still requires greater support and structuring.
The training equipped participants with practical tools to develop income-generating activities, including:
- business plan development,
- understanding the Malagasy legal framework,
- market analysis,
- and identifying opportunities offered by the digital economy.
The modules dedicated to digital work particularly attracted the interest of the participants through the discovery of remote career opportunities such as digital marketing, content writing, audio transcription, and data entry.
Through this program, many participants shifted from simply searching for jobs to adopting a mindset focused on creating opportunities and achieving financial independence. This transformation highlights the strategic importance of investing in youth to stimulate local economic growth.
Beyond technical skills development, the initiative also helped strengthen young people’s confidence, reduce feelings of professional isolation, and inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs equipped to create jobs and contribute to long-term economic growth.
