YMCA Analamanga at the Southern Africa Youth Forum 2025: “Pan-Africanism in Action”

“The change starts today, not tomorrow.” These words set the tone for a powerful day. On Saturday, August 16, members of YMCA Analamanga had the honor of being among the 20 young people representing Madagascar at the Southern Africa Youth Forum (SAYoF).

This year’s theme, “Pan-Africanism in Action,” brought together youth from across Southern Africa for a day of intercultural exchange, networking, and learning.

The forum featured impactful activities, including:

  • A conference on Tracing Pan-African Identity Across Generations

  • A session on Mobilizing for Change in the Fight Against Neglected Tropical Diseases in Africa, exploring causes, effects, and consequences

  • A collaborative group workshop to propose actionable solutions to Neglected Tropical Diseases

Beyond discussions, participants shared stories and forged bonds that transcended borders. This vibrant exchange of cultures and perspectives made the experience both enriching and unforgettable. It served as a powerful reminder of the strength, unity, and renaissance of the African continent.
