Supporting Youth Empowerment and Development in Madagascar

About

Supporting Youth Empowerment and Development in Madagascar is a comprehensive youth development initiative implemented to empower vulnerable young people by strengthening their economic independence, leadership capacities, civic participation, environmental responsibility, and personal development. Through an integrated, youth-centred approach, the programme addresses interconnected challenges affecting Malagasy youth, including unemployment, limited access to education and healthcare, economic insecurity, social exclusion, and climate vulnerability. The programme combines vocational training, entrepreneurship development, civic education, youth-led environmental action, and non-formal learning opportunities. At its heart, the programme positions young people not merely as beneficiaries of development initiatives, but as active leaders and agents of positive change within their communities.
