Career Talk Series: Connecting Youth to Professionals Through Practical Career Insights

In Madagascar, entering the job market remains a real challenge for many young people. While opportunities exist, the gap between academic training and employer expectations often makes the transition to work difficult.

In this context, young people need more than qualifications, they need practical insights into career paths, direct interaction with professionals, and clear guidance on how to navigate the job market.

This is exactly what Career Talks are designed to provide: connecting young people with professionals, offering practical insights into the world of work, creating mentorship opportunities, and increasing their exposure to the job market.

These sessions helped participants to:

  • understand what the job market expects
  • learn from real experiences and stories
  • explore practical pathways to work and entrepreneurship
  • build the confidence needed to plan their future

Beyond this, the sessions created a space for open dialogue and peer learning, where participants could engage directly with professionals, ask questions, and gain clarity on their career choices, while also building the confidence to take concrete next steps.

We thank all the speakers, partners, and participants for their collaboration, which made these sessions a success.
